Romanian Women National Team Championship

Last week the Romanian Team Championship (Superleague) has concluded in Calimanesti, a nice mountain resort in southern part of Romania. The event has gathered 8 women and 10 men teams that have been fighting for the national title.

Although there were only 8 teams in the women section, the tournament was very strong and the title was decided in the very last round. Each match was played on 4 boards and each team was allowed a number of two reserve players. My team, CSM Bucharest, composed of IM Corina Peptan, IM Deimante Daulyte, WIM Raluca Sgîrcea, WGM Irina Ionescu, Georgiana Morea and Petruţa Moldovan, had a good tournament and won silver medal. Our second board, Deimante, won first prize on second board. I played on the third board and scored 2.5 points out of 4. You can find the final standings below:

Săptămâna trecută s-au încheiat la Calimăneşti Campionatele Naţionale pe echipe – Superliga. Evenimentul a reunite 8 echipe feminine şi 10 masculine, ce s-au luptat de-a lungul săptamânii pentru titlul de campioană naţională.

Deşi au fost doar 8 echipe, turneul feminine a fost foarte puternic, titlul fiind decis chiar în ultima rundă. Fiecare meci s-a jucat la 4 mese, fiecare echipă având dreptul la încă două jucătoare de rezervă. Echipa mea, CSM Bucureşti, compusă din IM Corina Peptan, IM Deimante Daulyte, WIM Raluca Sgîrcea, WGM Irina Ionescu, Georgiana Morea şi Petruţa Moldovan, a câştigat medalia de argint, iar Deimante a obţinut locul 1 pe masa 2. Eu am jucat pe masa 3 şi am realizat 2,5 puncte din 4 meciuri. Mai jos puteţi consulta clasamentul final:
